We are a family run nursery located in the grounds of Morgans Primary School, Hertford. We believe highly trained staff who are happy, proud, motivated, and who feel secure as part of the family, are best placed to make your children feel the same. Because of the continuity of our staff and the thoughtful stimulation they provide, our children are active, curious and confident in forming relationships, which sets them up for a lifetime of learning.

Meet Sophie
Manager
With over 10 years of experience in childcare, I have worked in both nurseries and a children's centre, supporting the growth and development of children at different stages, as well as building strong relationships with parents. I hold a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies from Middlesex University, where I deepened my understanding of child development and early education. Working with children is more than just a career for me, it's a true passion. I find it incredibly rewarding to play a meaningful role in their early years, helping to build the foundations for their future. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through gym sessions and running, and I love to travel and explore new parts of the world.

Deputy Manager
I am an experienced childcare professional with over 20 years in the field. I gained my NNEB qualification in 2000 and since then have worked in a variety of roles within the sector. I enjoy working with children of all ages, as each stage of development brings its own unique rewards. I have a particular passion for creative activities—especially arts and crafts (the more glitter the better!)—and I believe messy play is a fantastic way for children to learn, explore, and have fun. I am a mother of two teenage daughters, both of whom were born with hearing impairments and additional needs. This personal experience, combined with my professional background, has given me a strong understanding and sensitivity toward supporting children with diverse needs.

Nursery Practitioner
I am a 42-year-old mother of one. Having lived in this area since the age of six, I feel strongly connected to the local community. I hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare and bring over 20 years of experience in the field. I am passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families, ensuring that each child feels valued, supported, and encouraged in their development. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my two dogs and relaxing with a good coffee while reading poetry.
Meet Michelle!
Nursery Practitioner
I am a qualified Level 3 childcare practitioner with 15 years of experience working in both nursery settings and as a private nanny. While the majority of my work has been with children aged 2-4, I also have experience caring for both younger and older children. I am passionate about fostering creativity and curiosity through play, particularly through messy and sensory activities, as well as outdoor exploration. I believe that these experiences are invaluable in supporting children's learning and development. Outside of my professional role, I am a mother to a four-year-old daughter. Together, we enjoy spending our time outdoors, exploring nature, and engaging in playful, hands-on activities.
